Day Programs
AFFORD Day Programs provide skills development programs for people with disability to extend their capabilities.
Through Community Participation, Transition to Work and Post School Options programs school leavers attend purpose designed modern, colourful and well appointed suburban centres.
The skills developments improve day-to-day communications and community activity, and where suitable prepare individuals for employment through training with computers, TAFE courses, or taking on work experience within AFFORD Packaging’s Business Services or in Open Employment.
AFFORD currently has Day Program Centres established in Ashfield, Canley Vale, Campbelltown, Condell Park, Chipping Norton, Green Valley, Holroyd, Hurstville, Kings Park, Lakemba, Mt Druitt, Parramatta, Penrith, Ryde and Windsor (some centres opening 2008).
The Department of Ageing Disability and Home Care provide funding for clients accessing Community Participation, Transition to Work and Post School Options Programs.
