Twin Creeks Golf Day raises valuable funds for AFFORD 11 April 2008  The sun shone brightly across the Twin Creeks Golf Club for the AFFORD corporate fundraiser on April 11th. With Byron Bay Brewery dispensing chilled beer and  the excellent condition of the course it was a great day for all. More than 80 teed off to support the Australian Foundation for Disability - AFFORD - and people with disability. Generous sponsorship and supporters raised needed funds bidding enthusiastically for desirable auction items such as a special St George Dragons jumper and a Sydney Harbour 'adventure pack'. HMAS Kanimbla hosts AFFORD fundraiser on Sydney Harbour

Australia Day 2008 saw the Commander and crew of HMAS Kanimbla host a fundraising party on board the ship to raise funds for the Australian Foundation for Disability (AFFORD). Over 200 people enjoyed fine music, food and wine as the setting sun created a spectacular back drop over the Sydney Harbour Bridge to this important day. AFFORD greatly appreciates the time and effort given by the members of the crew – their professionalism and courteous welcome made it an Australia Day to remember. The officers and crew from HMAS Kanimbla have 'adopted' the Australian Foundation for Disability (AFFORD) as their charity of choice. The generous efforts of these individuals is helping support more than 1,000 people in AFFORD's care - many of them with profound disability.
