Our Post:

Christmas is only a short time away and our Supported Employees across our Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEsare well and truly into the festive spirit, as they package up trees and characters for Woolworths customers across the country.

Meaningful Work For All Abilities

Our ADEs provide hundreds of employees with meaningful work, opportunities to socialise with others and a chance to develop new skills. We are proudly to be the largest employer of people with disability in Sydney and we work closely with individuals to provide supports that help them achieve their work, home and life goals.

It’s All About Partnerships

Afford is so pleased to be partnering with Woolworths this year to be providing their customers with something extra special this festive season.

Supported Employees of our Afford Minchinbury, Prestons, Ingleburn and Marrickville ADEs have been busily packaging cardboard Christmas trees that Woolworths customers can purchase for $3. The trees have five components – two tree components and three shelves.

In addition, when customers spend more than $30 or more during their shop,  they will also receive a cardboard character cut-out to decorate their tree. These products are Australian made and recyclable.

Pride In Achievement

Our Supported Employees work hard to package, label and distribute a variety of goods and products for customers, just like Woolworths.

Our employees have amazing ability and take pride in their work to ensure orders are delivered with precision and on time. They especially love working on customer orders and then seeing them sold and purchased in store.

The initiative will run until the end of December 2018 and with  enough Christmas Trees packed for every single Woolworths store in the country for this national promotion, our Supported Employees will be kept busy in the lead up to Christmas!
