Our Post:

Walking is an easy and free way to maintain fitness for a healthy lifestyle. Tayla and Jessica live in their Afford Group Home in Eagle Vale. With support from their lifestyle assistants, the ladies are keeping to a regular walking routine and benefiting from improved physical fitness and overall wellbeing.

Walking has strengthened their friendship. They support each other to exercise and keep to a routine. If one of them needs an exercise reminder or a boost in confidence to try hard, there is always someone to help them keep their mind on their goals.

The walking sessions for Tayla and Jessica have become more than just exercise. They spend the time together to release any stresses they may feel. They are comfortable to share their thoughts, opinions and worries and they know that they have support from each other as well as their lifestyle assistants if and when they need it.

The Afford Lifestyle supports individuals to achieve their goals in life and to enjoy social interaction. Lifestyle assistants are on hand around the clock to provide support and encouragement to live life to the full.

Afford supports residents to lead a healthy lifestyle by encouraging healthy snack options, regular exercise and activities that promote overall wellbeing and life happiness.
