The clients from Auburn, Condell Park and Windsor Lifestyle Centres have been diving into the new and inclusive Water Sports Program from our partner, Heroes with Ability (HWA). The new program focuses on keeping active, having fun and making a splash towards your goals.
Heroes with Ability (HWA), hosts sports activity programs that boost the confidence and morale of our clients. They practice a range of skills in a safe and supportive environment that encourages them to discover more about teamwork, communication and inclusion.
“Every Monday, the Afford clients come down to the Michael Wenden Aquatic Leisure Centre to swim and practice their skills in the water,” said Director and Co-Founder, Marco Quintao.
The new program is hosted in the indoor heated pool, so our clients can enjoy the fun each week regardless of the weather. They also receive private use of the pool area for the whole hour.
“The feedback we have had is that the clients enjoy it so far. We know how much they love to swim, play ball games and have fun so it’s great. They also interact with their friends from other sites,” continued Marco.
With on-duty lifeguards and their Afford Lifestyle Assistants close by, the new program has made a splash in the lives of our clients.
