Our Post:

In an Afford home, residents are supported to learn more about their local community and get involved in events and activities that make them happy.

Bond with Friends

Last weekend, our Woodbine residents attended the Fisher’s Ghost Family Fun Day at Menangle Park that proved to be a fun and friendship building outing!

Support to do the things you want

Supported by their Afford Lifestyle Assistants, residents, Megan and Susan, enjoyed wandering through the crowds of people at the show. The different sounds, the array of music and crowd chatter all made for an interesting setting for this day out.

Face painting was a highlight of the day with both ladies going for bright, colourful butterfly designs on their faces. Patting the ponies was another memorable moment. The ladies were able to feel the soft coats of the ponies and get up close with these cute creatures.

Of course, a day out at the show is not complete without picking up a showbag. Megan and Susan both chose a showbag that they liked and enjoyed the treats and surprises within.

There was a range of entertainment, as well as food markets and a car show to keep the two friends chatting about all the excitement and fun at the show.

Experience More in an Afford Home

The ladies have become great friends since living in their Woodbine home. They share similar interests and both are keen to experience all that their local community has to offer.

The visit to Fisher’s Ghost Family Fun Day had the ladies smiling and laughing all day. They had fun and created beautiful memories that are sure to last a lifetime.
