Our Post:

Susie is a resident of Afford’s Panther’s Group Home in Penrith. After hearing about the devastating fires gripping much of Australia, Susie knew she wanted to do something to help.

Susie loves animals and seeing so many wildlife affected by the bushfires gave Susie the idea to fundraise for WIRES.

Follow Your Interests

With support from her Lifestyle Assistant at her Panthers home, Susie developed a flyer to ask for people to donate to WIRES to support animal rehabilitation. In her flyer, Susie included information about how the general public can donate. It also includes images of wildlife to show others just some of the animals that have been affected by the bushfires.

She asked Afford’s Marketing team to share her flyer with the wider Afford community. Susie hopes to raise as much money as possible to help Australia’s wildlife. She hopes that many of the animals affected can be cared for back to full health and that the money can also help to regenerate their habitats.

Get Involved in The Things That Matter Most to You

Afford homes across Australia are places where individuals are supported and encouraged to get involved in activities that matter most to them.

Programs and activities for each home are developed based on the resident’s shared interests. Lifestyle Assistants go above and beyond to give every resident the opportunity to live the life they want under the NDIS – that’s The Afford Lifestyle.

The Afford Lifestyle

Every resident has personal goals to achieve and Afford staff are available whenever they are needed to support residents to achieve their goals for life.

Afford is a leader in Group Home accommodation in Australia. The Afford Lifestyle gives residents the chance to explore their interests, extend their friendships and live life on their terms, independently in their home.
