In Afford Group Homes across the country, residents are supported to get involved in the things that matter most to them. The Afford Lifestyle means that our staff go above and beyond to make sure that every resident has support under the NDIS to live independently, on their terms to achieve their goals.
Your Choices Are Respected
For our Woodbine residents, going out to the shops to buy their ‘Christmas must-haves’ was high on their list of priorities.
So Megan, Aruna, Korina and Susan, along with their Lifestyle Assistants, headed out to Kmart to browse the range of fun, festive and quirky Christmas decorations on offer.
They headed straight to the Christmas tree section to find one that they all liked. The chose one with lots of green, furry leaves that is just the right height for everyone to decorate.
Then they loaded their trolley with lots of colourful decorations. Everything from tinsel, baubles, a small Santa and even a sleigh!
Express Your Creativity
A pack of Christmas craft was also put into the trolley so that everyone can get into the festive spirit back at their home, making their own decorations and developing their fine motor skills at the same time.
Christmas shopping was loads of fun for the ladies. They also had the chance to try on some fancy Christmas hats and masks and posed for the camera.
It’s Your Home
The ladies love their Woodbine home. They all have similar interests and enjoy decorating their home in ways that reflect each of their unique personalities.
Live Independently with Friends and Support
Over the months they have been at Woodbine, the ladies have developed a strong bond and friendship. They provide each other with support and create wonderful memories together.
