See Me, See Us: Afford celebrates IDPwD with inclusive talent exhibition at PHIVE

Afford is proud to announce See Me, See Us, an inclusive talent exhibition celebrating International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD). The exhibition will be held on Wednesday 3 December 2025, from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm, at PHIVE’s Civic Gallery in Parramatta Square.

See Me, See Us showcases the work of five Afford clients who took part in a professional modelling course led by inclusive talent agency Model Mates. Their portraits will be displayed in a public gallery exhibition, highlighting creativity, confidence and representation in focus.

Time to be seen

There is still a serious lack of people with disability visible across media, fashion and advertising in Australia. Afford is committed to helping change this by supporting people with disability to step into the spotlight and showing the world that creativity and confidence come in many forms.

This project is also about access to real paid work. All five participants are being paid to take part in Afford’s IDPwD digital campaign and will be considered for future paid campaigns. Each participant has been provided with a professional modelling portfolio, creating new opportunities to take on inclusive talent work.

The exhibition builds on Afford’s ongoing partnerships with Model Mates and Bus Stop Films. Through Model Mates, Afford already features paid inclusive talent in its home, living and community brand materials. Through Bus Stop Films, Afford includes people with disability behind the camera in its video and photography productions. See Me, See Us takes this work even further by creating new pathways for clients to work, earn and be seen.

Making a change

Nicole Bryson, Head of Engagement at Afford, said: “Representation matters. We want to show the creativity and confidence of our clients in a way that feels authentic, professional and empowering. This exhibition creates opportunities both in front of the camera and behind it and helps open the door to real paid work in the creative industries.”
