FAQs about STA and MTA in Brisbane South

STA stands for short term accommodation. It provides temporary supported housing for people with disability. You can use your NDIS plan or pay privately. STA is sometimes called respite care in Brisbane.

MTA stands for medium term accommodation. It provides a supported home for people waiting for long-term accommodation or NDIS funding.

STA is a short stay, from a few days to a couple of weeks. MTA is a longer stay, usually no more than three months (90 days), while you wait for your next home or plan to be finalised.

Anyone with disability who is NDIS-funded or self-funded can access our accommodation supports.

Supports can include help with personal care, meals, cleaning, daily living skills and community activities.

STA stays are usually for a few nights or weeks. MTA stays are often for several weeks or a few months.

The cost of STA and MTA depends on your NDIS plan or private funding. We’ll explain everything clearly before your stay begins.
