How to pay for support coordination
NDIS funding information
You need to have support coordination included in your NDIS plan to use this service. The NDIS only funds support it considers reasonable and necessary.
That means support coordination must:
- Be related to your disability
- Be good value for money
- Support you to meet your goals
- Not include day-to-day living costs
- Not be related to other disability support needs, like groceries
If you are eligible for support coordination it will be included in your plan’s capacity building budget. This is a fixed amount for a support care coordinator to help you use your plan.
If your plan describes the level of support coordination funded, you can only purchase this level of support coordination.
If your plan does not describe the level of support coordination funded, you can choose to purchase the level of support coordination that suits your needs. Visit the support coordination page on the NDIS website to learn more about support coordination and the NDIS.
Support coordination helps you understand and use your NDIS plan confidently. It makes your supports work together and fit your lifestyle. Your NDIS support coordinators in Adelaide will help you find service providers, manage your plan funding and guide you through any changes. We’ll also help you build skills so you can take charge of your plan in the future and make choices that feel right for you.
You can get support coordination services if they’re included in your NDIS plan. If you’re not sure, our team can help you check your plan and explain what’s covered. We can also help you ask for support coordination in your next plan review if it’s not there. Even if you’re new to the NDIS, we’ll guide you step by step so you understand what you can get and how to get started.
There are three main levels. Support connection helps you build skills to understand and manage your plan. Coordination of supports goes further and helps you organise and connect with services that fit your daily life and goals. Specialist support coordination is for people with higher needs and involves more planning. Our team can explain which level fits your lifestyle and help you get the most out of your funding.
Support coordination is funded through the NDIS so you’ll need it listed in your plan. If it’s not included, there may be other ways to get help. You can self-fund our services or we can connect you to other disability supports that match your needs. We’ll help you explore all your options so nothing feels too hard or confusing.
We take time to listen to you and learn what matters most. Then we look for supports that help you live comfortably and reach your goals, whether that means help at home, job support, therapy or joining social activities. Everything we recommend will fit your plan, your goals and your comfort.
Living independently is different for everyone. For some people, it means having help with cooking or cleaning. Others might want help getting to work or joining local activities. We’ll help you shape what independence means to you. With support coordination, you can build the skills and confidence to make choices, meet new people and enjoy a comfortable, connected life.
An NDIS support coordinator in Adelaide is your guide to understanding and managing your plan. They help you set goals, link with services and solve problems when things change. They also help you learn how to manage your plan more independently.
It’s normal for support needs to change as life moves on. When that happens, we’ll talk to you about what’s different and review your plan together. Maybe you’ve reached one goal and want to set a new one or your routine has changed. We’ll update your supports so they continue to suit you. You’ll never have to go through those changes alone. We’ll be there to help adjust everything so it still works for your life.
