Inclusive Employment Australia is a government-funded program for people with disability, injury or illness. It gives you the right support, training and job connections to find meaningful work and stay employed long-term. IEA replaced the Disability Employment Services (DES) program in 2025 with a stronger focus on inclusion and personal choice.
You can take part if you have a disability, injury or health condition that affects your ability to work. You’ll need to be of working age, able to take part in job-related activities and either an Australian citizen, permanent resident or visa holder. We’ll make sure you understand all of this when you chat with our team.
IEA offers tailored employment pathways. That includes creating resumes, interview practice, skills training and workplace modifications where needed. Once you’ve started work, your consultant stays in touch to make sure everything continues to run smoothly.
You can register online, over the phone or in person at one of our Melbourne offices. Our friendly consultants will confirm your eligibility and organise a time to talk about what kind of work interests you most.

Yes. IEA has taken over from DES but has the same goal: to connect people with disability to meaningful, long-term work. It feels more personal and inclusive with community links and ongoing workplace support.
Our consultants are friendly and ready to guide you through every step of your journey. They’ll get to know your strengths, celebrate your progress and make sure you always feel included and supported at work.
