What is in-home support?
In-home support helps you with everyday tasks so life at home feels easier and more enjoyable. It’s also called assistance with daily living. Our team can support you with cooking, cleaning, personal care and household chores so your day runs smoothly. An NDIS support worker in Melbourne can also help you build skills and confidence to do more on your own.
For some, that means learning to make meals or manage a routine. For others, it might be support with personal care, laundry or planning for the week ahead.
Everyone’s needs are different and that’s okay. We listen to what matters to you and make sure your support feels right. With our NDIS support workers in Melbourne, you can feel comfortable, independent and proud of your home life.

How to pay for in-home support
NDIS funding information
If you have an NDIS plan, there are two types of NDIS funding that you can access to use our in-home support.
- Assistance with social and community participation – part of your core support budget
- Assistance with personal and self-care activities
Self-funded
You do not have to have government-approved funding packages to access our disability supports and services. Self-funded is a way you can pay for services with your own money. Sometimes self-funded is called fee-for-service.
This gives you the flexibility to access the supports you need if you have a one-off request, or if your government funding package does not cover what you need. You can also self-fund supports while you wait for a funding package to be approved.
In-home support helps with everyday tasks like cooking, cleaning, laundry and personal care. It makes home life easier and more enjoyable.
Regular support lets you focus on the things that matter most to you. Over time, in-home support can also help you build skills, grow confidence and live more independently. It’s sometimes called assistance with daily living.
Your NDIS support worker in Melbourne will take time to get to know you and understand your everyday routine, goals and how to help you feel comfortable. Together, you’ll create a plan that suits your needs and lifestyle.
If your situation changes, that’s okay. We’ll review your plan and adjust your support so it always works for you. Our goal is to support you to live the way that feels right for you, every day.
Yes, you can. You don’t need an NDIS plan to receive in-home support. Many people choose to self-fund their in-home support. We’ll talk you through your choices, explain how payments work and help you start services that suit your budget and needs. It’s easy and flexible to get the right support without stress.
In-home support happens where you live, whether it’s in your own home, a family home or shared accommodation. We focus on what helps you feel comfortable and independent, whether that’s regular support each week or occasional visits when you need an extra hand.
