FAQs

Explore is a flexible community activity program where you can try new hobbies, go to local events and have fun in a group around Melbourne. You can make your own timetable and pick the activities that interest you most. Every day can be different with a mix of favourite things and new experiences. It’s a great way to build skills, make friends and enjoy being part of your community.

Explore is not like other disability day programs. It gives you more choice and flexible support from our friendly team. You can plan your own activities and create a routine that feels exciting to you. Explore is also more than a day program. You can join in during the day, in the evenings or on weekends. It’s all about enjoying life, learning and connecting with others.

Explore is open to adults with disability who want to learn new things, meet people and enjoy life in Melbourne. It’s designed for people of all abilities and built around your goals and interests. We think of it as a community program that helps you get out and enjoy what Melbourne has to offer.

There’s a range of fun activities in Explore. You could go bowling, join a café group, do cooking or art classes, visit a park or go to a movie. Some people like swimming, walking or joining social groups and local events. You can also do activities with your support person if that suits you better. Just tell us what you’d like to do.

Yes. You can design your own weekly plan filled with activities that suit your goals and interests. You can keep doing what you love or try something new when you feel ready. Explore gives you freedom and choice and our team will make sure your plan stays fun and meaningful.

Explore can be funded through your NDIS plan. It can connect with supports like Assistance with Daily Life, Increased Social and Community Participation, Improved Daily Living Skills and Improved Learning. You can also pay privately or use fee-for-service options if that works better for you.

Explore includes a 14-day cooling off period within your service agreement. If you decide the program isn’t right for you within 14 days of starting the program, you can leave with 24 hours’ notice. No commitment, no stress! See your service agreement for more details.

New Explore participants may be eligible for a first session free offer, available in selected locations. This helps you try Explore before fully committing. Click here to read the full terms and conditions.
