Our residents from Rosebush Supported Accommodation, Matthew, Adrian and Anthony, recently celebrated the opening of their new group home with a spectacular stargazing night.

Along with their lifestyle assistant, the trio headed to the lookout at Arthur’s Seat in the Mornington Peninsula as one of their first outings since moving into the new home.

“The guys have been getting along really well and this trip was a great chance to see the local area,” said Lifestyle Assistant Nathan Littler.

This group are the first residents of the new home. They are enjoying the homes stunning features and the bustling local area.

“One of our favourite parts of the house is the open plan living and the massive kitchen space. It’s excellent,” continued Nathan.

This new space has been an incredible benefit for the weekly cooking program and makes running other activities in the dining and lounge room easy.

The new home is in a prime location with a bakery and Woolworths within walking distance and the local pools, bowling centre and go-karting track being approximately a 10-minute drive.

“We are looking forward to seeing more residents join our house. The guys ask all the time about when someone else might be moving in,” Nathan said.

All of Afford’s Supported Accommodation homes are designed to suit the needs and abilities of residents and are located in prime locations to encourage inclusiveness and adventure.
