Working at the car wash

Our Wellington Point Community Centre recently got up close and personal with their dream sportscars. They visited a local car detailing business, Car Detail Empire, where they received a site tour and equipment induction before getting hands-on with a Ferrari and Porsche. Daniel from Wellington Point was fuelled with excitement the whole day, and nothing could put the brakes on his happiness.

The day was unforgettable for Daniel and is a memory he will cherish for years to come.

“Daniel was over the moon and he hasn’t stopped talking about it. His family were pleased that our staff organised this for Daniel and that brings a big smile to our faces,” said District Manager, Charlie Seu.

Daniel has a passion for cleaning and enjoys learning new techniques. Using the professional tools was also an exciting experience that had Daniel smiling from ear to ear.

“Daniel is utterly obsessed with all things cars and most days at Wellington Point, you will find him outside washing our fleet. So this was a fantastic opportunity for Daniel to wash his dream car, a Porsche,” said Team Leader, Amanda Colles.

Of course, the team couldn’t leave without ensuring that the interiors were also in tip-top shape. Sitting inside the sportscars and seeing the details up close like a Top Gear presenter was a welcome bonus on the day.

“While on-site, Daniel, Chris and Carlea also got the opportunity to have some close-up time with a Ferrari. It was such a great day for all,” said Amanda.
