Scaly reptile encounters and festive entertainment galore! This and more were all enjoyed by the Afford clients and staff who attended the Afford Christmas party at Sydney Zoo last week.
This year has proved that no matter what challenges we face, we can adapt and conquer anything, together!
The Afford Christmas party was a chance to celebrate with friends and reflect on this year. Attendees could get up close and personal with some reptiles, native and exotic furry friends at the new Sydney Zoo in Western Sydney.
Clients and staff from Afford Community Centres, Australian Disability Enterprises (ADEs), and Supported Accommodation attended the event.
A DJ played music that created smiles, laughter and some great dance moves from everyone who attended. There was a sing-a-long of our favourite Christmas tunes as well as a visit from Santa and Mrs Claus.
A delicious lunch followed and then free time to wander through the other animal enclosures and get their favourite animal face painted.
Afford is also excited to announce its partnership with the inclusive Sydney Zoo and become an official supporting partner. The partnership offers discounts for Affordians visiting the zoo as well as Afford’s sponsorship of the Tammar Wallabies to go towards the conservation of these beautiful creatures.
