Thanks to Afford’s partner, Heroes with Ability, our clients from Auburn Lifestyle Centre were treated to a day out at the footy to watch the Eels and Titans battle it out on the field. It was an excellent opportunity to get out amongst the community and experience the electricity of a live game.

Afford partners with like-minded organisations to ensure you are given unique opportunities to experience life.

“Our clients, Nicholas, Hussain, William, Ahmed and Thomas, were so excited to go watch the football game with their friends. This was Caitlin’s first football game,” said Team Leader, Amber Stewart.

It was a fantastic opportunity for them to experience the atmosphere of a football game. Our clients joined in with the excitement of the fans while watching both the female and male squads.

“Ryan Matterson from Parramatta Eels, waved at all the clients and they were all super excited and waved back. The clients also held their flags high and followed the crowd’s cheers,” continued Amber.

The cheers were the loudest when the Eels won the match at 32 to 28. With many Parramatta fans in the group, everyone was happy to see their heroes win the game.

“The clients were talking about the game even after it had finished. This opportunity to experience a football game was great as some clients have never had the chance to attend a game before,” said Amber.

Thank you, Heroes with Ability, for giving our clients these fantastic opportunities to explore the world around them.
