Across Australia, our residents and clients love hopping into the Easter spirit and celebrating with family and friends. On Thursday, the Bonnyrigg Lifestyle Centre held their Easter extravaganza, complete with an inclusive Easter egg hunt and hat parade. In the lead up to the event, they had fun decorating the site with their own Easter arts and crafts.
At Afford Lifestyle Centres, you will have the opportunity to celebrate meaningful traditions and enjoy special experiences.
“It was a great day filled with many smiles and happy clients,” said Lifestyle Assistant, Selina Leota.
The Easter egg hunt and hat parade are always a hit with our clients, who look forward to the annual event.
In the lead up to the Easter celebration on Thursday, the arts and crafts room came alive with pastel colours and exciting textures as our clients put on their creative hats to work on their personalised crafts.
“Clients in arts and crafts made Easter hats, Easter baskets and posters using craft materials from our trolleys,” continued Selina.
The arts and crafts program provides a range of sensory benefits to our clients and encourages them to utilise communication, teamwork and fine motor skills. Seeing their completed artworks and the work of their peers encourages positive relationships and improves their self-esteem.
“Our Easter crafts were displayed in the centre’s main areas for all of our clients and families to see,” said Selina.
The day was a great success, with everyone looking forward to carrying on the festivities over the Easter weekend.
