Laura and Megan are two best friends from Dryandra Supported Accommodation. They enjoy spending their weekends by the seaside and their friendship inspires those around them. The ladies recently headed to Stony Point and French Island National Park, where they saw local landmarks and spent quality time together.

At Afford’s Supported Accommodation homes, you will have the opportunity to practise life skills and build meaningful friendships.

“Laura and Megan appreciate the simple things in life like watching the birds fly, boats come in and the calming ocean. Some people might say that’s boring, but not these two. They appreciate accessing the community, going for walks and interacting with one another,” said Lifestyle Assistant, Rozina Ram.

It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect for a stroll. After exploring the area and taking selfies, it was time to relax with a picnic and revel in the peaceful atmosphere.

Rozina takes the friends out every second Saturday and so far, they have loved all the outings.

“Laura and Megan always find it fun to drive to new locations. When we pass farms, they like to point out the animals,” continued Rozina.

The ladies have been living together for over a year and their bond has strengthened with their shared experiences. They bring out the best in each other and always offer support.

“Both ladies are very independent and prepare the lunches they bring on our trips. They treat every day as a new adventure and like to go to new places,” said Rozina.

We look forward to seeing Laura and Megan tackle new adventures.
