When Amy and Josh joined Caboolture Supported Accommodation, they had no idea that it would be the start of a beautiful friendship. They came to the house with individual goals and expectations but soon found that there was a lot they could learn from each other too.

Every Afford Supported Accommodation site is a safe and supportive environment and we ensure that you are matched with other residents who share your goals.

“Josh is always helping Amy. They have a great friendship. They hold hands when they walk and help each other with the gym equipment at the local parks,” said Lifestyle Assistant, Sunghwa Clinch.

Both Amy and Josh moved into Caboolture just over a year ago and their friendship has been so important to them, especially during the ups and downs of life during the COVID-19 pandemic. Amy and Josh have stayed positive by working out and exploring their local area.

“It was good for them to get some fresh air at the park and visit the lake. They could also work towards being independent and making their own choices,” continued Sunghwa.

Their determination and positive attitudes have also helped them achieve many goals, including staying on track with their health.

“They both love to cook and are always happy to try out different and healthy recipes. Josh does a lot independently, but Amy loves to help where she can,” continued Sunghwa.

Both Amy and Josh are looking forward to returning to dance classes and taking up swimming at their local pool once the weather starts to warm up.

At Afford Supported Accommodation, you will be encouraged to make the most of life and broaden your experiences whilst making friends and memories for life.
